TERMS OF SERVICE

The deal,
in plain words.

Last updated 15 September 2026

The short version

You own everything you make here. Your writing stays yours, and so does every draft Pointed produces for you.

Nothing publishes without you. There is no auto-publish on any plan and no setting that turns one on.

You are responsible for what you publish. A model wrote the first draft. You read it, you approved it, your name is on it.

Cancel any time, from your own billing page. You keep access to the end of the period you paid for, and your exports either way.

The agreement

These terms are between you and Pointed. By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.

Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

If we change these terms we will update the date above, and for any material change we will email you before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, cancel: you will not be charged again.

Your account

Sign-in is an emailed one-use link. Anyone who can open that email can get into your account, so treat your inbox as the key.

Each brand also has a token that gives programmatic read access, including through our MCP server. Treat it like a password, and rotate it from your settings if it leaks.

You must be 18 or over.

Who owns what

Yours

The writing you give us, the content of your website, and everything Pointed produces for you: briefs, articles, reply drafts, your tone of voice document. All of it is yours. We claim no ownership and no licence to it beyond what is needed to run the service for you.

That licence is narrow and it ends when you delete your account: we process your content to produce your drafts, store it so the product works, and send the necessary parts to the model providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not train models on it and we do not permit our providers to.

Ours

The software, the interface, the prompts, and the name. You get to use it while you have an account. You do not get to copy it, resell it, or build a competing service out of it.

About AI output

Text produced by an AI model may not be copyrightable in some countries, and two customers could in principle receive similar output from similar inputs. We cannot promise that anything Pointed drafts is unique or protectable. In practice the voice document makes output specific to you, but that is a design goal, not a legal guarantee.

What you are responsible for

This is the important section, so it is short and direct.

Pointed prepares drafts. You decide what leaves the building. Before you publish anything, you are responsible for checking that it is accurate, that any claim in it is one you can stand behind, and that it complies with the rules of wherever you are putting it.

AI models get things wrong. They can state something confidently that is not true. Pointed is built to reduce that: drafts are grounded in your own material, voice rules must quote your actual writing, and preflight blocks a publish on problems we can detect mechanically. None of that is a substitute for you reading it.

You are also responsible for having the right to give us what you give us. Do not paste someone else's writing as your voice sample.

Acceptable use

Do not use Pointed to:

If you do any of this we may suspend or close your account. Where it is not serious and not deliberate, we will tell you and give you a chance to stop first.

Connected accounts

When you connect Google Search Console, Slack or Reddit, you are authorising Pointed to act within the permissions you granted, on your behalf. Those platforms have their own terms and you remain bound by them.

In particular: a reply posted to Reddit through Pointed is posted by you, from your account, because you clicked send. You are accountable for it in the same way you would be if you had typed it there. Pointed never posts on a schedule, never in bulk, and never votes.

We are not responsible for a platform changing its rules, its API or its pricing. If one becomes unavailable we will tell you and, where it materially reduces what you are paying for, give you a fair refund or a way out.

Payment

We do not generally give refunds for time already used, but if Pointed did not do what we said it would, tell us and we will sort it out. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days; starting to use the service within that period means you agree we can begin straight away, and we will refund proportionally for what is unused.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Pointed available and working, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee at these prices, and it would be dishonest to write one into a document nobody intends to enforce.

Support is by email at [email protected]. We answer within two working days, and usually much faster. Pro customers get priority. Agency customers get monthly office hours.

Scheduled work, such as a listening sweep or a scheduled article, runs on a best-effort basis. If a run fails you will see it in system health and be told about it, and you can retry it.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like, from inside the product. It deletes everything, cancels any subscription and revokes your connected accounts. Export first if you want your work: after deletion we cannot get it back.

We can close your account if you breach these terms, if you do not pay, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop offering it, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, refund anything you have paid for and not used, and keep exports working for that whole period.

Liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in any twelve month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or lost data, or for anything arising from content you chose to publish.

Pointed is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that anything it drafts will achieve a particular result. Nobody can promise you a search ranking and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
