Write your llms.txt
from your own pages.

An llms.txt is a short file at the root of a site that tells AI tools what the site is and which pages matter. Put in your website and Pointed writes one from the pages it can read. You check it, then upload it yourself.

Reads public pages only. No AI model, no account, nothing stored.

What goes in it

A title, one paragraph saying what the site is, then the pages worth reading, each with a short note. That is the format the llms.txt proposal describes. This page builds it from your homepage title, your meta descriptions and the pages it finds linked from your homepage.

Does every AI tool read it?

No. llms.txt is a proposal, not a standard every AI tool follows. It costs nothing to add, it is a plain text file you can read yourself, and it is easy to keep current.

Where does it go?

At the root of your site, so it loads at yourcompany.com/llms.txt, the same way robots.txt does.

What if I already have one?

This page checks first and tells you. Compare the two before you replace anything.
